ARTER READING YOUR EXCELLENT MENU FOR MYSELF AND CHILDREN WE WERE VERY SHOCKED TO BE GIVEN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MENU AND WERE TOLD WHAT THEY DID NOT HAVE RATHER THAN ANY SPECIALS AS SAID ON MENU NO FRESH PIZZAS FOR THE KIDS WHICH WAS ONE OF THE THINGS THE KIDS WANTED. I ALSO FELT SORRY FOR THE POOR YOUNG WAITRESS WHO WAS CLEARLY EMBARESSED AND CLEARLY UPSET TO TELL US .AFTER ASKING WHY SHE SAID NEW CHEFS HAD TAKEN OVER THE KITCHEN AND THE ONES WHO CREATED THIS MENU WERE NO LONGER WORKING THERE WE HAD OUR FOOD AND LEFT NOT HAPPY SO I THINK YOU SHOULD THRERFORE CHANGE YOUR MENUS ON LINE TO SAVE ANY MORE DISSAPOINTMENT.

We were used to visting the Bridge Inn when going to the antiques fair at Ingleston. It was always very good for both food and value. Our visit today for a pub lunch has changed our minds. The steak pie was now up to £9.25 and came with totally sodden pastry and rock hard chips. A glass of wine set us back £4.50. I don't know whether it's changed hands or not but there were only about 8 people in at lunchtime on a Saturday, when it was normally quite busy. I think the high prices and poor meals have caused others to chalk it off their lists.
